Learn how to stabilize your core and move without pain in this 2-hour class covering fundamental corrective exercise techniques.
Lower back pain can stem from many different causes — injuries, posture habits, or muscular imbalances — but it almost always involves a weak or poorly coordinated core.
This class is designed to help you reconnect to that foundation.
In this 2 hour hands-on session, you’ll learn how to:
- Activate your core through functional movement, not mindless crunches
- Identify and release tension patterns that overload certain muscles
- Improve posture, breathing, and gait mechanics to support a resilient back
- Apply simple strategies at home to keep your progress going
This class blends movement education, core integration, and biomechanically-based training to help you move the way your body was designed to — efficiently and pain-free.
Maximum 8 participants to ensure adequate guidance.
Who it’s for:
Anyone dealing with lower back pain, stiffness, or recurring flare-ups. All levels welcome.
What to bring:
Comfortable clothing, water, and an open mind. Expect movement and personalized guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from regular core exercise?
Traditional “core workouts” often isolate muscles without improving the coordination between them — the exact coordination your spine depends on to stay stable. Functional Patterns training takes a different approach: instead of strengthening one muscle group at a time, we teach your body how to move.
Do I need fitness experience?
No. This class is beginner-friendly and open to all levels of fitness. We’ll meet you where you are.
Is this safe if I'm currently experiencing back pain?
In most cases, yes. The movements are controlled and adapted to your level. We’ll show you ways to reduce discomfort and build stability safely. If you have significant pain, we would prefer to see you in a 1-on-1 setting.
How is this different from yoga, Pilates, or physical therapy?
This class focuses on biomechanics — retraining how your body organizes movement as a whole. It’s a more holistic, long-term approach designed to improve how you stand, walk, and move through space.
